Position Title: Silicon Design Engineer

Work Location: Austin, TX

Job Duties:

Research, design, develop, or test electronic components and systems for commercial, industrial, military circuits and components for use in the fields such as telecommunications, aerospace guidance and propulsion control, acoustics, or instruments and controls. Develop complex technical documents to support Infinity Fabric hardware design and software development. Release IP specifications and features such as device/register definitions and functional overviews to internal and external teams. Create or revise graphics based on engineering input. Deliver documents on schedules determined by document owners and program management. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering and 12 months of experience in job offered or in a technical or engineering researcher position.

Position requires experience in the following:

Performing hardware and software verification;

Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL;

RTL design and coding;

SoC, GPU, or CPU architecture;

EDA and CAD tools;

Python, C++, Perl, or TCL;

Linux and Windows internals;

Logic and Circuit design; and

OS kernel and systems development;

Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.
