Senior Software Development Engineer (Multiple Positions), Tesla, Inc., Austin, TX:

Provide software engineering support for IT Applications service portfolio. Create suite of applications that support Tesla Service and Tesla Customer Support/ Service units. Work on a home-grown Insurance Claims Management platform to streamline customer insurance claims process and support Tesla Insurance business. Develop large, distributed software applications for service portfolio. Develop software solutions for highly available or mission critical software integrated into enterprise systems. Interact with teams of Engineers and end-users from multiple disciplines. Define and develop unit tests and unit test libraries to ensure code development is robust and production ready. Drive software process improvements that enable progressively increased team efficiency. Ensure delivery of bug free code into production. Develop and create re-usable components to be used across applications in the organization. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using modern web technologies.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related, and five (5) years of progressive experience in software development. Alternatively, will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related, and three (3) years of experience in software development.

Must have experience in:

.Net with C#;

Front-end development using: Angular 6+, HTML 5, or Typescript;

Object-oriented programming (OOP);

Software architecture fundamentals including: design principles, architectural patterns, component-based architecture, state management, data flow, version control, testing, or quality assurance;

Data structures including: Arrays, Objects, Maps, or Lists for UI rendering;

Code modularity and maintainability; and

GIT source code control.
