Intel Senior Software Developer in Austin, Texas

Job Description

The Connectivity Innovation Engineering (CIE) Team, which is a part of the Wireless Communication Solution BU within Intel’s Client Computing Group, develops applications that focus on innovating client user experience across a wide array of Intel platforms delivering quality of service for connectivity. We’re looking for a versatile, senior developer to design and create our next generation applications.

As a senior software developer, you will be responsible, but not limited to, the following:

  • Own core components within our suite of applications.

  • Design, implement, debug, and maintain features in owned components.

  • Participate in new generation design discussions and provide technical expertise in design decisions.

  • Work closely with team architect, program manager, Marketing Team, Validation Team, and other stakeholders to bring product designs to realization.

  • Visualize existing and new features by collaborating with UX/UI developers.

  • Deliver high-quality, well-tested code according to best practices.

  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the development team.

  • Mentor junior team members.

As a successful candidate you must possess:

  • The ability to be a self-starter with strong sense of ownership and desire to communicate and collaborate with other engineers and teams.

  • Good communications skills.

  • The ability to collaborate effectively in geographically dispersed team.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions within deadlines.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor or master's in computer science or any STEM related degree equivalent hands-on work experience.

Minimum 9+ years of development experience.

8+ years of experience in:

  • C/C++, C#, complex application design/implementation/debugging that include inter-process communication and performance sensitivity.

  • Software projects from requirements and design to development, debugging, and maintenance.

  • Software engineering design methodologies.

  • Object oriented programming, data structures, inter-process communication, threading, algorithm creation, system architecture, and Windows services.

  • Windows Kernel Driver experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Wi-Fi standards.

  • WFP (Windows Filtering Platform) experience a plus.

  • Git or equivalent software version control system.

  • Knowledge of core operating system principles, networking fundamentals, and systems management.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $162,041.00-$259,425.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
