Position SummaryAccountable for the development, implementation and ongoing management of more complex projects which typically impact more than one of the following: process, system, product and/or function and may run a year in duration. Leads/manages all aspects of the project and or program such as planning, coordination, development, implementation including the financial implications while prioritizing work, resources and time. Ensures the end state of the project and/or business operations meets business objective(s) and that all deliverables and due dates are met. Highly collaborative process often requires managing relationships across the segments or multiple functional areas. Supports the business by recommending appropriate actions, strategies and/or alternatives to meet business needs.Required Qualifications

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement strategic program/project plan to achieve business goals

  • Proactively lead program and/or project by setting direction of medium to large projects, creating project plan, timeline identifying key milestones and additional resources needed on assigned project(s)

  • Actively participates in all aspects of the document and verbal readiness reviews and is actively involved in Command Center issue/risk resolution.

  • Identify gaps and recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and operational processes based on broad view of the organization

  • Solicit and evaluate internal and external customer/regulator feedback to enhance continuous quality improvement

  • Manage program/project budget and/or financial implications

  • Facilitate/present influencing various internal (these may be cross-functional/segment) and external parties (e.g., vendor, regulators, etc.)

  • Identify risks and/or issues that may stall project and address them by either resolving the issue, creating an alternative solution, or effectively escalating for resolution

  • Track progress and communicate project(s) status on a regular basis to stakeholders

  • Build communication plan for implementation to ensure all impacted parties are informed of progress, next steps, issues, etc.

  • Mentor and/or manage project team members (including other project managers) either directly or through matrixed relationships

  • Act as an advocate for change may require influencing others to see the value in project, including managing interpersonal sensitivities and articulating the strategic view to ensure project alignment

Background and Experience

  • 5-7 years of successful project management experience in health operations or similar disciplines with increasingly more complex projects across a highly-matrixed organization

  • Demonstrated project successes with related disciplines: business process development, implementations, migrations, system upgrades, automation replacement, operational improvements, etc.

  • Demonstrated skills in building/directing an internal team to collaborate with a broad team of SMEs from diverse organizational backgrounds to effectively meet project goals and affect change

  • Project/program expertise in stakeholder facilitations, communications and relationship management

  • Deep experience with project management fundamental skills: planning, controlling, leading, risk/issue management, budget management, including written, oral and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master-user expertise with Asana, Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint and Visio

  • Skilled-user experience with Microsoft SharePoint

  • Relationship leadership and change management

Education

  • BS or BA or equivalent experience

PMP or other similar project certification preferred, but not required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $132,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
