Amazon Senior Program Manager, Industrial Launch & Execution, Worldwide Grocery Real Estate in Austin, Texas

Description

Do you want to revolutionize the Grocery Shopping Experience? Come be a part of Amazon's next in-store initiative. In this role, you will exhibit a strong ownership mindset, taking the lead in developing and maintaining the program's master schedule, orchestrating cross-functional real estate planning, and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams. You will work closely with senior leaders, program managers, project managers, real estate experts, and operational teams to ensure the seamless integration of new fulfillment capabilities into Amazon's Grocery stores.

Preferred Location: Nashville, TN.

This role is not approved for remote, field based, or other flexible work arrangements.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the comprehensive project timeline for the program, identifying and mitigating risks to keep the initiative on track

  • Coordinate the real estate planning and site selection process, aligning with Amazon's Grocery expansion strategy and ensuring optimal locations for future expansion

  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment on goals, priorities, and dependencies between the Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh, and Amazon.com teams involved in this initiative

  • Develop a deep understanding of micro fulfillment technology, grocery fulfillment processes, and evolving customer needs

  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and partners to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, simplification, and innovation

  • Partner with program managers to scope efforts, set priorities and milestones, and drive the successful delivery of the micro fulfillment program

  • Own program-level communication, accelerating progress through crisp and timely decision-making, clearing blockers, and escalating issues as appropriate

  • Influence internal and external stakeholders without formal authority, driving the adoption of new processes and initiatives.

  • Monitor program-level goals and metrics, supporting the vision of both the Grocery Business Operations team and the larger organization

  • Present program status and insights regularly to leadership teams, providing data-driven recommendations

  • Be prepared for travel up to 25% of the time

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience in Fulfillment Center, Sort Center and/or Delivery Station Operations

  • Experience in Process Improvement strategies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
