The Salesforce Technical Architect, Business Applications will play a pivotal role in analyzing, designing and implementing Salesforce solutions that support RWE Clean Energy’s strategic goals. The Technical Architect will work closely with stakeholders, developers, testers, and project managers to ensure that the requirements are clear, feasible, and aligned with the business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, strong technical skills, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with various stakeholders. Responsible for establishing overall architecture, integration, and data model standards for the Salesforce program. The applicant must have the ability to perform tasks independently and/or with minimum guidance, and to take a leadership role in the software development life cycle to ensure project tasks are completed. This includes business use case analysis, designing or selecting the application, stakeholder communication, testing the application, deploying and documenting the solution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders across RWE operating companies to formulate and implement a strategy for the Salesforce platform
Work closely with business leaders, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of Salesforce solutions with business objectives
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between technical and non-technical team members
Oversee and advise all Salesforce development across the program, ensuring designs and solution meet Salesforce best practice and platform
Lead the development and customization of Salesforce applications including Apex, Visualforce, Lightening components, Mulesoft, and integrations
Review and provide sign-off on proposed Salesforce data model and security updates
Mentor and guide junior developers and administrators, serving as lead developer, fostering a culture of learning and growth
Design and develop scalable Salesforce solutions that support our renewable energy initiatives
Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight for Salesforce projects, ensuring best practices and optimal performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions
Translate functional business requirements into technical designs and development work items necessary to begin development work by proposing high-level solutions based on best-fit Salesforce capabilities
Establish overall architecture, integration, and data model standards for the Salesforce program
Develop and execute the overall deployment and data migration plan for each Production release
Develop integration architecture and ERDs to support Salesforce data flows with other systems
Stay abreast of the latest Salesforce features, tools, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation
QUALIFICATIONS:
College Degree required, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
Salesforce Certified System Architect
Salesforce Certified Application Architect
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Salesforce technical architecture and development
Proven experience in designing and implementing complex Salesforce solutions
Proficiency in Salesforce solution architecture, technical architecture, and coding standards
Ability to learn new technologies as required for the job using documentation and other available sources
Ability to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting deadlines
Extensive knowledge of Salesforce platform, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, Mulesoft, and integrations
Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other Salesforce products
Strong understanding of data modeling, security, and performance optimization in Salesforce
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Teams)
Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams (ERD), cross functional diagrams, user stories, wireframes, Agile, Scrum, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN), etc.
Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds at all levels of the organization
Is a team player embracing the spirit of continuous improvement personally and within the team
Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
Must be able to work with remote teams, both within the US and globally
Must also be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
Must be flexible to work off hours as required to install product upgrades, support production problems and other corporate emergencies
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $92,000 - $137,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
