The

Roadway Design Engineering Analyst (Transportation EIT) performs professional engineering work by applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities:

The Transportation EIT:

• Provides support to the professional engineering staff in the development of roadway and drainageplans and design.
• Performs routine aspects of civil engineering assignments such as grading, drainage, paving, geometric design, utility design, etc.
• Applies prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in civil engineering or related field.
• EIT certification or ability to acquire same within 3 months.
• 0-3 years of progressive experience performing engineering duties similar to those listed above. Particular consideration is given to experience in roadway and drainage analysis and design. Knowledge ofengineering software, programs, and methods used for duties described above.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Microstation and GEOPAK CADD software.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with transportation design manuals and regulations.
• Familiarity with TXDOT standards
