TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION Q220 Events Strategist in Austin, Texas

Assists the conference governance planning team, as needed, with statewide conference planning, helping all divisions within the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in executing successful conferences using a streamlined cost-saving process. Provides customer service and builds rapport and trust with all TxDOT employees and external stakeholders ensuring deadlines are met while finding creative ways to reach the agencyandrsquo;s goals, under guidance of supervisors. Work requires contact with departmental managers, high-level executives, governmental/university officials, and/or private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisorEssential Duties: Compiles and distributes relevant division conference information such as project status reports. Provides regular updates to management, project teams, and others.Works on creating event pages on the CVENT website/app for division conferences, including Texas Transportation Short Course and the Texas Transportation Forum.Works closely with the Creative Services team within the Communications Division on making sure deadlines are met and executed with a customer service-oriented mentality.Serves to assist a small team by serving as a resource for operational updates to the supervisor/manager, providing regular updates.Develops detailed schedules by work breakdown structure and resource assignments and manages integrated project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.Analyzes project issues and develops solutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectivesPerforms other job responsibilities as assigned.
