Production Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Support Meta’s systems to keep the business growing and information safe.

2. Grow the Linux environment by solving configuration, authentication, and infrastructure problems at scale.

3. Build, scale, and secure Meta’s corporate infrastructure, focusing specifically on the Linux environment.

4. Combine open-source and commercial technologies to build services that will have an impact on the business.

5. Work in a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications, and make them work well together.

6. Apply modern engineering methodologies such as infrastructure as code, Linux container orchestration, and software-defined storage to scale Meta’s rapidly growing Enterprise infrastructure.

7. Find ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger Meta infrastructure to solve problems for Enterprise customers.

8. Be the final escalation point for issues related to Enterprise Linux systems.

9. Produce systems that are scalable, automated, and well-documented, and train others to take on operations.

10. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Foreign equivalent accepted) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

12. 1. Building intuitive systems in at least one of the following: Java, PHP, C++, or JavaScript technologies such as ReactJS or AngularJS
13. 2. Working with code bases building micro services, REST APIs, and GraphQL
14. 3. Modeling data flows between systems to enable transactional workflows and upstream or downstream integrations
15. 4. Building secure software with auditable access controls and permissions
16. 5. Unix or Linux
17. 6. Python and JavaScript.

$198,962/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
