Volt Management Corp Pilot Plant Technician in Austin, Texas

Volt is immediately hiring a

Pilot Plant Technician in Austin, TX, with a well-known industry leader. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a new career. In this role you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

This is a first shift position.

As a Pilot Plant Technician you will:

  • Assemble new types of fiber optic connectors using detailed work procedures
  • Test the optical performance of new types of optical fiber connectors
  • Work with other technicians and optical engineers to efficiently make and test connector samples for experimental investigations.

Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • One (1) year of experience working in laboratory or pilot line setting
  • Able to pay attention to detail and follow detailed written work procedures.
  • Able to work with hands to assemble small parts.
  • Able to work on site daily from 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm initially transitioning to 3pm to 11pm as demand increases
  • Able to utilize Microsoft Excel for data input, formatting and analysis

Pay Rate:

$25.95 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
