Job Description

We are seeking a .NET Backend Software Developer to join our innovative and dynamic technology team where your work will shape the digital landscape. We are committed to delivering exceptional user experiences. This position will be full-time and remote .

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain backend services using .NET 6

  • Enforce a high standard of code quality and maintainability, keeping in mind scalability

  • Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience

  • Participate in code reviews to maintain a high standard of code quality and encourage a culture of collaboration

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software

  • Provide recommendations and execute improvements to varying processes and technologies

  • Continuously learn and stay up to date with advancements in backend development technologies and best practices

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in backend development

  • Proficient in .NET 6 and familiar with the .NET ecosystem

  • Solid understanding of Entity Framework Core and ORM concepts

  • Knowledge of SQL and database design principles

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly

Preferred

  • Experience with cloud platforms, Azure preferred

  • Experience with implementing and managing message queues

  • Understanding of microservices architecture

  • Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

  • Prior experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development

  • Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven development

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
