Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring several Medical Assistants in Austin, TX ! These roles are onsite / in person.

Type: 3-month contract, with potential for extension

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Pay: $22 to 24/hr

Location: Austin, TX 78731

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

· Medical records requests

· Calling and scheduling Patients for health events

· Calling patients for Medication adherence support and provide education as needed.

· Datamining

· Back Office Heavy

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

· HS Diploma

· Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment. Medical Assistants who are hired prior to receiving their certification are expected to perform at the same level as a certified Medical Assistant

· Current BLS certification for healthcare providers (written exam and in-person assessment) at time of hire or within 30 days of hire

· Knowledge of medical terminology

· Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills

· Proven good communication and customer service skills

· Demonstrated ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required

· This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease
