Partner with the directors, faculty, and other stakeholders in strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of Institute research objectives.Develop and manage theinstitute budgets. Oversee regular reporting to funding agencies.Coordinate resources across the various departments to promote collaboration.Serve as an institutional representative to the university community and external visitors and provide information and analysis to support formal partnerships with external entities.Serve as a liaison with sponsors, department offices and partnering institutions. Disseminate research opportunities and facilitate collaborations.Oversee the review of internal funding programs to catalyze research.Work with educational program managers to support educational initiatives including workshops, trainings, and development of new curriculum with domain experts.Organize internal research community building events (e.g., symposia, seminar series).Identify opportunities for collaboration with other academic centers and industry. Provide project management support for building formal partnerships.Support the Universitys government relations and communications teams in conveying the vision, accomplishments and needs of the Institute and its initiatives.Participate in broader institutional initiatives, proposal and award applications, staff mentoring, and other administrative assignments.Hire, train and mentor staff as needed.This job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.
