Are you a skilled technician passionate about keeping vehicles running smoothly and efficiently?

The Manager of Vehicle Maintenance Electronics (Demand Response and Micro Transit) reports directly to the Superintendent, Vehicle Maintenance, and oversees the daily activities of the vehicle maintenance electronics operations Demand Response north and south garages. Responsible for the on-board vehicle electronic systems including, but not limited to radio communications, fare collection, CAD/AVL, messaging equipment, destination signs, and surveillance systems. Ensures systems are maintained by the service provider and meet the needs of daily pullout for CapMetro for revenue and non-revenue vehicles operating in CapMetros Access and Pickup Services. Oversees the performance of the contracted vehicle maintenance service providers. ::: ::: :::

Oversee supervision of the daily activities of the vehicle maintenance electronics department for both the north and south base maintenance garages.

Assess emergency situations related to electronic equipment that occur in day-to-day operations by providing guidance.

Monitor electronic equipment failures and works with contractor personnel to implement repair solutions to enhance the reliability of the fleet.

Act as a liaison between CapMetro and the service provider regarding electronic equipment issues.

Coordinate with parts and inventory and service provider personnel to ensure working electronic equipment is readily available.
