The Manager, Federal and State Compliance is responsible for supporting the Compliance team in identification, coordination, and oversight with the requirements of Federal agencies and State Utility Commissions.
Role Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of all applicable Federal and State tariffs and rules
Track and complete required compliance tasks and activities
Coordinate reporting to regulatory organizations; including FERC, DOE, EIA and State agencies
Develop and implement administrative controls for compliance process
Support management team in planning, development and oversight of department goals, projects, and initiatives to ensure all regulatory requirements are met
Oversee and assist compliance staff with data collection, analysis and submittal
Prepare reports and presentation materials on compliance activities, as assigned
Other duties as assigned by Management
Job Requirements and Experiences:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable subject required
Minimum 8 years of experience in compliance, legal or regulatory environment applicable to power generation, preferably with renewable energy projects
State agency experience in California and Texas preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
