Description
As the Manager, Business Development for Consumables B2B, this role will define Consumables B2B Solutions and lead the consumables B2B business development team, driving Amazon Business as a key growth opportunity in Retail ($1.8B 1P YTD GMS, +39.8% YoY). This role will spearhead the growth and innovation of our B2B consumables business. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of a high-potential segment, working with top brands and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results, and requires high levels of writing, judgment, influence, and ownership. the ideal candidate should possess sound business judgment, think strategically with a long-term vision, and excel at executing tactical details. Currently, this person will support 14 proposed shared goals between ABFI and CBD at QBR level or above (goal finalization target mid-Jan) across selection, pricing, availability, and Managed Spend Solutions.
Key job responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and execute the Consumables B2B strategy in partnership with Amazon Business teams
o Drive growth in the $26B Total Addressable Spend Segment for Breakroom
o Define program tenets for the Outsource E-Commerce (OeC) program with $1.5B revenue potential, and identify new initiatives within Consumables suitable for B2B spends
• Team Management and Vendor Relations:
o Lead a team of 4, overseeing product portfolio growth, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships
o Negotiate with top brands across major product categories to achieve a $14.4MM AVN gain goal for 2025
o Launch coffee machine installation capabilities in Q1 2025 with at least 1 Coffee Tier 1 supplier in partnership with AB Service as part of 2025 SVP AB Service Goal
• Financial Ownership:
o Act as P&L owner for the retail consumables B2B segment
o Conduct financial analysis to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets
o Improve MS vendor-funded GMS from $0.05M to $8.75M goal
• Solution Design and Implementation:
o Develop targeted strategies and vendor-facing business cases
o Create scalable business selection models and optimize selection across various parameters
o Liaise with Amazon Business Sales organization to digest customer feedback and convert to actionable Retail action plans to unlock additional customer spend
• Operational Excellence:
o Drive tools and process improvements in Managed Spend workflows
o Improve VCP onboarding, optimize funding ROI, drive Pack-Hierarchy coverage to achieve B2B COI savings
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Lead collaboration across AB Sales, Marketing, Finance, GTMO, Product/Tech, and Retail Category teams
o Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
7+ years of professional or military experience
7+ years of sales, inside sales, or business development experience
Experience managing teams
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $142,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
