The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking a PM Rounds Cook to join the CCRC Food Service Department team. This position is located in Austin, TX at 4800 N Lamar, Criss Cole Center. The mission of the Division for Blind Services (DBS) is to work in partnership with Texans who are blind or visually impaired to reach their goals.

TWC is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those currently on student or postgraduate visas. You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.

The PM Lead Rounds Cook (Food Service Manager IV) performs advanced (senior-level) food service supervisory work. Work involves supervising and planning food preparation and service; ensuring prescribed sanitation and safety rules are maintained; calculating food requirements; and preparing reports. Plans, assigns, and/or supervises the work of others. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. NOT a manager position.

The ideal candidate possesses stamina to work standing for the majority of each shift.

GENERAL DUTIES: - Performs advanced food preparation work and trains other staff and students in doing the same. - Assists supervisor in training staff and students on new equipment or procedures. - Oversees the work of food service staff; planning, preparing, seasoning, and cooking food; trains other staff and students to do the s me. - Ensures prescribed sanitation and safety rules are maintained and the preparation of reports are completed. - Maintains inventories and records of food consumption. - Makes recommendations for improvement of current systems. - Implements new food service-related systems and procedures. - Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: -Three years of experience in food service work. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. -Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.

Duty requires up to 5% travel within the state of Texas and the ability to lift 75 pounds. Work hours may vary depending on consumer training needs and could include evenings and weekends.
