Insight Global General Superintendent in Austin, Texas

Job Description

As a Project Superintendent, you will be playing a critical role in construction projects for building the world's largest factories. You will work primarily in the field managing and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with base build construction engineers, and manufacturing engineering teams while tracking a project's safety, schedule and budget. The Project Superintendent is in charge of overseeing projects and programs, ensuring operations adhere to standards and requirements.

  • Manage GC's, subcontractor's, and Self Perform trades in the field.

  • Implementing & regulating safety policies and work plans

  • Schedule and lead quality control and site safety inspections.

  • Develop and communicate logistics and other operational plans necessary.

  • Interface with base build construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering teams -- from install through start of production

  • Direct work in field and track changes both individually and leading or participating in a larger team.

  • Work with designers to facilitate construction design.

  • Develop templates and standards for future phases/projects.

  • Work with procurement team to create biddable work packages; track against estimate to manage costs and update appropriate teams.

  • Coordinating with contractors and suppliers, monitoring the inventory of materials, purchasing supplies according to project requirements, developing reports and conducting inspections

Skills and Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in general construction or commercial/industrial background (residential is not applicable)

  • Oil & Gas is acceptable too

  • Heavily civil and foundation work with understanding of MEP and underground utilities

  • Experience contributing

  • Be familiar with NEC70 codes

  • OSHA 30 Certification

  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications

  • Good communication

  • Ability to multi-task null
