Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. Summary of Role: 

We are looking for an Analyst to be a critical member of our Process Optimization group who will join our efforts to support our Finance stakeholders on transformation projects, simplifying and standardizing processes and rebuilding accounting processes that will enable GF to achieve exceptional things. The Analyst  is responsible for methodically investigating, analyzing and detailing business processes and functions, identifying specific business benefits that could be gained from new or enhanced IT services and then crafting viable specifications and acceptance criteria for information systems. In this role you will act as a critical link between the business functions providing the business requirements, and the IT team building the solution, and such will collaborate with business leadership, Project Managers, IT teams and external vendors to ensure projects delivery in a cost-effective manner without negatively impacting quality. 

Essential Responsibilities include: 

  • Diagnoses, analyzes, and identifies improvement opportunities in support of general business operations, special projects/initiatives, and/or operational planning activities 

  • Fully understand the business vision, needs, drivers for change, current struggles, internal and external factors and suggest solutions and alternatives 

  • Formulates and defines process scope and objectives based on both customer needs and a good understanding of the application, business, operational, and/or industry requirements 

  • Clearly define project requirements using appropriate documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, etc.) 

  • Develops and delivers both informational and decision-seeking reports, analyses, and/or presentations 

  • Review design documentation with business users and represent the users with the Development Team 

  • Building and maintaining organizational relationships 

  • Provide testing scenarios to ensure the solution quality is appropriately validated 

  • Coordinate training and launch with functional users/management 

  • Facilitate the prioritization of projects and enhancements with functional leadership 

  • Detail plan and success criteria as well as metrics to measure impact of changes and return on investment 

  • Continually look for options to address business difficulties Awareness 

  • Understand: 

  • Our team structure and business processes 

  • Technologies used by our business to support their business functions and in relation to the processes 

  • Current technologies and solutions in this business space

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs 

    Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting 

  • Keen   attention to detail 

  • Language Fluency:  English (Written & Verbal)

  • Education – Graduating with a Bachelor’s, Master’s in Information Management , Program Management, Finance or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship

  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing 

  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) 

  • Travel - Up to 10%

  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact with and influence at all levels of the organization

  • Self-motivated and independent with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work across global locations in matrix role and build effective cross-functional relationships at multiple levels

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience 

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. 

  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong planning & organizational skills
