Google Finance Manager, Data Center Acquisitions and Investments in Austin, Texas

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

  • Experience working in a data center in a cloud provider company.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to self-start and self-direct in an unstructured environment.

  • Ability to influence through disciplined use of data.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

The Technical Infrastructure (TI) Finance mission is to partner cross-functionally, drive optimal decision-making, provide insights for strategic and tactical decisions, and bend the cost curve down.

In this role, you will lead the Data Center Acquisitions team playing a key role in shaping data center supply decisions. You will support efforts to ensure optimal use of Google capital to expand a rapidly growing data center footprint. You will also work with key partners on the Energy and Location Strategy (ELS) team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead work, develop, and build financial thesis for data center acquisitions decisions such as financial analysis to deliver insights and make recommendations to drive operational excellence.

  • Develop complex financial models to drive process optimization for data center capacity planning and delivery and influence decision-making for strategic initiatives.

  • Influence and support executive management across finance and business to drive key financial metrics, improve financial insight and practices and optimize data center supply portfolios.

  • Manage and drive large and complex programs spanning multiple organizations, and exercise business and technical understanding to drive toward the team’s long-term objectives of supporting optimally scaling Google’s data center infrastructure.

  • Drive the development, automation and consolidation of financial tools to empower the team to excellence and enable agility for the business.
