ESG Controllership Senior Advisor

What you’ll achieve

The ESG Controllership Sr Advisor is a member of the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Controllership Team within Dell’s Corporate Accounting. You will report to the Senior Director of ESG Controllership and Accounting Policy. Your responsibilities will range across many ESG topics and you will interact with several cross functional teams including: SEC reporting, ESG reporting, Sustainability, Global Ops, Services, Product, Legal, IR, Statutory accounting, etc. as you drive readiness procedures and build a foundation for meeting regulatory compliance reporting requirements. You will be a key to the development of our new controllership function with the mission to develop and execute compliance-ready disclosures including SEC and other global requirements.

You will:

  • Serve as workstream lead for multiple workstreams under our global ESG reporting project. This will entail leading cross-functional teams without authority and will include preparing presentation material, managing program resources and schedules, leading meetings, and communicating with executives

  • Lead the implementation project that will entail understanding regulatory requirements, performing gap assessments, developing a roadmap and executing and driving implementation of new standard requirements

  • Work with data owners to understand, document and communicate existing data limitations, and needed processes and system improvements, drive data accuracy and automation

  • Understand regulatory reporting requirements and educate others in the company on said requirements

  • Develop expertise on ESG trends, frameworks and regulatory requirements

Essential Requirements

  • 6-8 years of strong finance or accounting background including financial reporting, processes, internal controls, and/or systems with a Bachelors’ degree

  • Experience reading and understanding accounting/reporting standards and regulatory requirements and expertise with financial reporting systems and applications

  • Excellent communication and proven cross-functional collaboration and teamwork skills; good at building and cultivating strong relationships with business partners

  • Process, governance, and controls experience and skills

  • CPA certification is preferred

Desirable Requirements

  • Project management skills is a plus

  • ESG knowledge/familiarity is a plus

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $102,850 - $133,100.
