Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel. This role involves supervising a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring all hotel facilities and equipment are well-maintained, and addressing maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

· Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, including assigning tasks and scheduling shifts.

· Provide guidance, training, and support to maintenance technicians to ensure efficient and effective operations.

· Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.

· Perform and oversee repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other hotel equipment.

· Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.

· Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.

· Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in a manner that minimizes disruption to guests.

· Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.

· Assist in ordering and restocking materials as needed to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

· Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and hotel standards.

· Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.

· Assist in coordinating with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.

· Oversee contractor work to ensure quality and adherence to hotel standards.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

· Provide regular updates and reports on maintenance activities to the Maintenance Manager.

· Be available to respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours and on weekends.

· Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures for maintenance-related incidents.

· Maintaining the pool pump and filters

· Practicing safe chemical handling

· Maintaining adequate stock of pool chemicals

· Keeping the pool free of debris

· Maintaining proper chemical balance

· Ensure the upkeep of all safety equipment related to the pool (emergency flotation)

Qualifications:

· 2 years of experience in maintenance management, maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.

· Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to sit, stand, and squat frequently.
