A Director is responsible for supporting the sustainability and profitability of a Practice Area Business Unit (BU). This senior-level position provides leadership and support on consulting engagements as an Engagement Manager, Project Manager, or Subject Matter Expert. The Director is responsible for quality delivery to clients and the growth and management of team members.

The Director performs Business Development efforts through:

  • Supporting development within existing lines of business

  • Identifying opportunities in new lines of business

  • Interfacing with clients

  • Identifying leads and providing capture management on new opportunities

  • Analyzing client request for proposals, and

  • Owning and completing proposal responses

The Director performs Human Capital Development through:

  • Identifying and recommending quality staff

  • Proactive recruiting to support business unit growth

  • Supervising, developing, motivating, and retaining staff

  • Incorporating staff into the day-to-day business of PCG

  • Conferring with the business unit VP to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives based on current status and conditions

The Director performs Quality and Risk Management through:

  • Ensuring quality work products are delivered to clients

  • Managing client-facing project teams

  • Providing high-level IT job duties, which may include:

  • Portfolio Management

  • Project Management

  • Business and Technical Leadership

  • System Analysis

  • Code Development

  • Software Engineering

  • or other similarly skilled computer-related work

  • Providing high-level analysis and support to achieve business unit goals

  • Managing proposal development and submissions

  • Engaging in high-level company business and analysis

  • Exercising discretion and independent judgment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Building and Sustaining PCG’s Business Portfolio

  • Support growth revenue targets.

  • Market or participate in marketing services to current and potential clients

  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including proposals and rebids

  • Participate in firm-building activities

  • Attend monthly Practice Area meetings or conference calls

  • Attend Practice Area planning meetings

  • Actively participate in Committee assignments and special projects

  • Develop proposals

  • Collaborate fully within the firm and with external partners and clients to facilitate cross-selling and other revenue-increasing activities

Managing and Building Upon Client Relationships

  • Preserve existing client relationships

  • Expand existing client relationships

  • Identify and develop prospective new relationships

Directing Project Management and Oversight

  • Develop and manage project budgets

  • Adhere to and support the PCG project management approach and other PMO principles and practices

  • Ensure project quality and compliance with all related regulations

  • Ensure communication among all key stakeholders

Building a Sustainable Pool of Talent

  • Manage staff performance

  • Support established goals

  • Assess and recognize performance relative to goals

  • Manage performance issues

  • Deploy staff effectively

  • Develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and training

  • Provide opportunities for staff to learn from and work with other Practice Areas

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.

  • Knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies.

  • Ability to assess customer goals, needs, and interests concerning the implementation/appropriateness of information technology solutions.

  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to create and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality when dealing with proprietary or private information.

Some travel to the office or elsewhere may be required for team meetings, client meetings, etc.

We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis until filled. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $135,000-$160,000
