Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing the IT management function within a mid-sized, complex business or overseeing a significant sub-function for a substantial and intricate business segment. The role owns activities related to business and technical systems design and ensures the alignment of IT efforts with the requirements of other concerned entities. The role leads strategic planning, team management, and policy implementation while ensuring effective resource allocation. The role also oversees risk mitigation, budgeting, and operational excellence within the designated domain while contributing to talent management and development.

OVERVIEW:

The Director of Regional and Site Services will report to the VP of Infrastructure and End User Services and provide the progressive leadership and vision needed to support HP's technologies that flawlessly serve our customers daily. The leadership provided by the successful candidate will create industry-leading infrastructure and services that enable our businesses, customers, and employees to develop, produce, and sell world-class products and solutions.

The IT Infrastructure and End User Services team at HP Inc. manages global IT operations for all of HP Inc's IT infrastructure. In the last 3 years, HP IT has driven multiple transformation programs to align with business and stakeholder priorities. This has resulted in focused ownership of end-to-end operations and accountability by delivering SLAs and KPIs that are closely aligned with Business priorities. As part of this team, the Director of Regional and Site Services will ensure Operational excellence by overseeing the infrastructure and services that support the organization's regional sites and global network operations. This includes strategic planning, modernization initiatives, and ensuring operational stability and efficiency.

Strategic senior IT leader with end-to-end responsibility for the strategy, planning, and delivery of regional site networking and operations services. Accountable for delivering on HP Inc.'s strategic IT objectives to transform IT Infrastructure and Operations. Partner with business leaders to deploy innovative products and solutions. Intense focus on Infrastructure network performance and cost-effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will possess a balance of business and financial acumen and be technically competent, collaborative, hands-on self-starter with strong communication, leadership, and organizational development skills. They must be able to collaborate with multiple teams simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, global, dynamic environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver HP Inc's strategic objectives to transform IT Infrastructure and Operations into an innovative, agile, lean organization that provides data center, network engineering, operations, and end-user services.

  • Build and manage a team and lead a globally dispersed organization.

  • Industrialize 'IT as a business' operating model, tools, and processes.

  • Manage Regional Site Services budget (capital and expense), and ensure dependable, secure, and cost-effective delivery of services.

  • Shape and deliver next-generation network services in partnership with leading enterprise technology and managed services vendors.

  • Enable HP Inc. workforce and partners' productivity by designing and delivering innovative workplace end-user technologies and connectivity.

  • Partner with Product leaders to develop and implement innovative HP Inc solutions as customer 0

Essential Functions

  • Creates strategic and tactical operations and resource plans, goals, and priorities for the RSS organization based on business and IT roadmap and functional objectives.

  • Collaborate with strategic choice of partners to provide operational and financial excellence. Driving modernization efforts to reduce technical debt, improve operational stability, and enhance user experiences.

  • Maintain stability and reliability while supporting agile MTP with consistent outcomes.

  • Custodian of IT environments with HPI technical 'Know how capabilities.'

  • R&R is structured geographically, with accountability for different platforms and local escalations.

  • Hold vendors accountable and optimize resources to free up for innovation and transformation.

  • Partners with IT and Business Leadership to lead and deliver the technology infrastructure operations and execution for the enterprise, supporting a highly scalable and redundant environment.

  • Develops the team and mentors' talent to deliver the technology management and execution capabilities of the organization. Enable a constant learning environment.

  • Work closely with multi-team technical resources, engineering managers, and other stakeholders to ensure systems function within SLA and that outages are dealt with rapidly and effectively.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology is required; an MBA is preferred.

  • 15+ years of experience in a leadership role in IT Infrastructure Technology / Operations, with at least 5 years of senior management experience at the Director level or higher.

  • Proven track record of building and motivating large, high-performing teams in times of change in global matrix environments.

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the technology landscape, with a principal on being connected to the industry about data center and site networking.

  • Proven track record of leading design delivery of large‐scale, high‐quality systems focused on infrastructure.

  • Ability to effectively work with and influence others and act as a change leader.

  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team building, and conflict resolution.

  • Organizational and strategic management skills, including budget and business planning and forecasting.

  • Skilled in metrics and data-driven processes to hold Vendors accountable while working in collaboration mode.

  • Ability to manage human capital across multiple geographies and organizations to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.

  • Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

  • Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting with senior management and executive roles for internal and external partners.

The base pay range for this role is $146,650 to $175,950 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
