The Director of Global Communications will elevate the Accruent brand and the brand of its leadership time, while helping drive awareness of our solutions in the marketplace. This role will develop and execute a proactive public relations, industry analyst relations strategy and social media outreach across all platforms. The right person for this role has a unique blend of brand strategy, press relations, media pitching, analyst relations, and story creation to earn Accruent positive coverage in the market. You know how to work with executive leaders, agencies, media outlets, analyst firms, and company employees to deliver results. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the VP of Product & Brand Marketing. This is a remote/work from home opportunity.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Develop press relations strategy and execute on that strategy including writing and editing press releases, media pitches, byline articles, etc. and growing relationships with key journalists in our space

  • Lead brand message development efforts for company positioning and public relations activities

  • Proactively develop creative trend story angles to consistently secure coverage in targeted print and online media outlets

  • Manage PR agency to ensure alignment with our strategy and provide day-to-day direction

  • Develop analyst relations strategy and lead execution including building analyst relationships, securing coverage in key reports and analyst publications, and collaborating internally on preparing for briefings and submitting content for reports

  • Develop a strategic social media program and execute to aid in expanding Accruent’s reputation as a trusted resource and thought leader

  • Identify core metrics, establish measurement plan, track progress and articulate ROI on media, analyst, and social activities

  • Recommend external brand opportunities, including media interviews, speaking engagements to showcase thought leadership, and award opportunities

  • Serve as frontline media spokesperson as needed and prepare company spokespeople for media interviews and other engagements, ensuring that most frequent spokespeople are prepared to address key issues as they emerge

  • Collaborate with global marketing team to support product launches and campaigns via press/media, analysts, and social media

What you bring to the table:

  • 10-15 years of corporate communications experience focused in PR and AR

  • Demonstrated experience defining and managing communications strategy for a SaaS or technical company

  • Ability to digest complex issues and topics and communicate them in a way that is easily understood by targeted internal and external audiences

  • Good verbal presentation, group dynamic and facilitation skills with the ability to coach executives in developing compelling messaging and deliver effective communications

  • Superior, proven written and verbal English communication skills in a technology company with an innate attention to detail

  • Highly collaborative and able to work with a variety of stakeholders (internal staff, clients, agencies, analysts, and media representatives) to achieve results

  • A proven track record of strong organizational, program and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet milestones, tight deadlines and communicate status on concurrent projects

  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, English, Journalism, Public Relations or Communications preferred)

  • A proactive, self-starter attitude, with a sense of urgency to achieve results

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to cultivate and continuously improve the perception of our brand in the market

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment while maintaining high quality standards

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $109,500.00 - $203,500.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
