Centene Corporation Data Analyst Intern - Pharmacy (Undergraduate - Summer 2025) in Austin, Texas

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.

Position Purpose: This intern will be part of the Pharmacy Services Analytics team to support analysis and development work related to Medicare STAR ratings and work on initiatives executed across multiple lines of businesses.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Assist in the development of PowerBI dashboards for data reporting

  • Including gathering and organizing requirements, data modeling, data query specification, and some degree of backend and UI development assistance

  • Be involved in data mining, data architecture, and application building

  • Understand enhancement requests and clarify technical specifics for requirements to help the team effectively

  • Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects, assisting the other Data Analysts

  • Communicate project status and results to business leaders and address business needs to shape the demand for technology capabilities

Skills :

  • Experience with SQL or Python

  • Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft PowerBi (experience with SAS is a huge plus)

  • Have ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Ability to work independently while still being collaborative and a team player

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Experience/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

Pay Range: $20-25/hour
