Robert Half Controller in Austin, Texas

Description We are seeking a Controller for a long term contract employment opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role is crucial in the finance industry, where you will manage and oversee all aspects of our accounting operations. The Controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.

• Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.

• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances.

• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. Requirements • Proficiency in 3M

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Working knowledge of CRM

• Ability to operate Crystal Reports

• Proficient in Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in Auditing

• Experience in Budget Processes
