Foundation Communities Bilingual Outreach Coordinator in Austin, Texas

Position Description : The Bilingual Outreach Coordinator is responsible for conducting outreach to increase engagement and participation in Prosper Center programs (Tax Help, Health Coverage, Financial Wellness, and College Hub). This position works with the Outreach Manager and program staff to develop and implement outreach and communications plans and supervises interns. The person in this position will incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion in planning and implementation of all outreach activities.  

Primary Duties/Responsibilities  

  • Work with the Outreach Manager and program staff to develop marketing plans and strategies for Prosper Programs 

  • Supervises interns and provides managerial oversight to bilingual outreach efforts.  

  • Collaborate with program staff to establish and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations that serve lower income and under-served community members to facilitate program referrals 

  • Ensure local organizations have up to date information about Prosper Programs and are able to refer clients when relevant 

  • Maintain the contact list of partner organizations 

  • Coordinate regular engagement with partner organizations 

  • Develop and distribute the monthly e-newsletter for partner organizations 

  • Set up and deliver tailored presentations in English and Spanish 

  • Attending in-person and virtual outreach events, such as health fairs, community resource fairs, business openings, farmers’ markets, etc.  

  • Help plan and coordinate outreach events 

  • Develop content and strategies for social media outreach in English and Spanish to maximize engagement 

  • Support development and implementation of social and digital media outreach in English and Spanish  

  • Conduct media interviews in English and Spanish  

  • Ensure all marketing materials and program information are up to date  

  • Ensure all external program information is up to date (Google Maps, FindHelp, ConnectATX, 211, etc.) 

  • Assist with the collection of client stories  

  • Utilize human-centered design principles to develop tailored outreach strategies and messaging in partnership with eligible program participants and partner organizations 

  • Use data to assess effectiveness of outreach activities and update them as needed  

  • Conduct outreach to residents of Foundation Communities affordable housing communities and support resident engagement activities 

  • Other duties as assigned 

     

      Minimum Requirements  

  • Proficient in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) 

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and public speaking) 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with community members from diverse backgrounds 

  • Experience with community outreach and engagement or communications 

  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include evenings and weekends as needed for community engagement activities.  

    Compensation:

    $48,000/annually
