The AWS Global Partner Investment and Incentive Team is seeking a Business Development Lead to own and coordinate delivery of strategic, transformational efforts to the partner funding experience. The role requires a highly motivated and experienced senior Business Developer with a history of working with partners and building go-to-market strategies for investments at scale. You have the desire to grow with the team and take on additional responsibilities, and have a passion for working in a lean, fast-paced organization. You must be able to dig into seemingly complex business problems, challenge the status quo as needed, by bringing both innate curiosity, a natural inclination to invent and simplify, and a data-driven ability to influence other leaders and collaborate with other organizations working effectively across internal and external organizations.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Develop new financial incentives including intake and review of business cases, definition and prioritization of business value, stakeholder alignment and go-to-market (GTM) strategy for pilots, promotions, experiments or new/updated incentives through lifecycle management framework.

  2. Own GTM strategies for new incentives and communicate partner needs to internal teams with key goals to accelerate partner successes and revenue growth

  3. Develop GTM plans for new incentives that support all partners who are eligible for AWS investments through global Channel Partners that resell AWS services, ISV partners that build solutions or integrate with AWS native services, SI partners that help customers migrate to AWS.

  4. Work directly with partners including developing new incentive structure and delivery plans in partner deals.

  5. Effectively communicate and collaborate across multiple stakeholders such as AWS Sales, Partner Core, Service teams, System teams. Present to senior leadership on business roadmap.

  6. Direct ownership of AWS Partner Funding Portal, GTM strategy for AWS billing products, must have both business acumen and technical knowledge in AWS's systems to deliver desired tooling experience that meet the business needs.

  7. Serve as Subject Matter Expert between business teams and technical teams such as systems and services teams.

About the team

New Initiatives team is responsible for executing strategic priorities of Delivering a World Class Partner Experience, Growing Partner Profitability with Partner Engineering, Partner Funding Program Team, and Business Development Teams. These efforts include business case creation and reviews, business value definition and prioritization, stakeholder alignment and go-to-market strategy for pilots, promos, experiments, new and/or updated programs through standard framework and lifecycle management as well as working directly with partners to develop new incentive structures and delivery plans for partner deals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
