I. Texas Education Research ConsortiumOutreach and Management related dutiesServe as primary point of contact for all Consortium-related activities and communications in collaboration with the Consortium manager. Manage a team of full-time staff and graduate research assistant and graduate assistants. Develop, cultivate, and sustain strong working relationships across all statewide institutional partners in Texas and their respective institutional representatives. Serve as liaison to the Texas Education Research Consortium Advisory Council and support annual Council Retreats and bi-monthly communication and lead re-design of the Consortium Strategic and Business Plan.Consortium Meetings/Activities related dutiesOrganize and coordinate the annual student leadership summit at UT-Austin (beginning summer 2025) with the executive director and Project MALES leadership team. Organize and coordinate bi-annual Research Institutes with the executive director and Project MALES leadership team. Deliver conference meeting presentations as needed on behalf of the executive director. Engage and contribute to documentation and evaluation for all research-based initiatives.Research Institute related dutiesProvides support for Texas Education Research Institute in collaboration with Senior Research Director, Associate Director/postdoctoral fellow, and executive director to develop new and ongoing research projects, conference proposals, conference presentations. This work also includes the production and dissemination of internal publications including research briefs, policy briefs, and research digests. Oversees all private foundation and federal grants proposal development and writing, processing of grants awards, management and reporting to grant funders.Supervision related dutiesSupervise all graduate assistants (3-4 GRAs and 4-5 GAs) and staff assigned to Project MALES and the Consortium. Maintain direct oversight in graduate students' assignments and special projects, schedules, workloads, and other items as needed. Organize all bi-weekly staff meetings, including maintaining meeting minutes, agenda items etc.II. Project MALES (Mentoring to Achieve Latino Education Success)Mentoring related dutiesServe as coordinator and key point of contact for all Project MALES mentoring activities with mentor program manager. Assist in managing four to five graduate assistants (GAs) that serve as the mentoring coordinators and/or mentoring specialists. Support LA 113P IMPACT class and teaching assistants, coordinate all community engagement activities (e.g. Texas Student Leadership Summit, Longhorn for A Day, Summer leadership camps, Consortium partner visits, and volunteer opportunities such as Educacion Con Corazon, La Feria and other k-12 related events in collaboration with our ISD school partners, serve as official host for college visits, etc.).Instructional related dutiesInstructional lead for the following Project MALES courses: UGS 302 Latinx Males in K-12 and HE: Challenges and Opportunities; Puebla Maymester-Latinx Identities Across the Americas; LA113 IMPACT class; College of Education POWER class.III. Texas Education Research Consortium and Project MALESGeneral Operations/Financial/InfrastructureAssist the Executive director with grant management and reporting (e.g. ECMC, Kresge, Trellis, and GTF Foundations, OJJDP, THECB, and UT Central Development Office). Administer financial control for all projects with the support of the Project MALES administrative team and the College of Education accounting/finance team, including funding related to partner institutions and other external subcontractors. Oversee accounting and budget transactions for Project MALES and the Texas Education Research Consortium. Support the College of Education accounting/finance team office management, including office infrastructure, organizational processes, timesheets (as needed) and other duties as assigned.Marketing and communicationCoordinate all communicati n activities, including press releases, quarterly newsletter, maintain website content, and maintain email list serve and mailing list with the support of program leads and graduate students. Deliver conference meeting presentations as needed on behalf of Executive Director.IV. Other related duties as assigned
