Role Description:
As our Software Engineering Manager, you will be involved in overseeing the development of the team's software development process, collaborating with various teams to design and develop new features. In your role, you will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team's engineers, helping them to learn and grow. Additionally, you will work to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of the team's software. As team leader you will own the team’s OKRs and be responsible for executing the roadmap in collaboration with Product Managers, executives and other engineering teams.
In this role, you’ll:
Manage an engineering team with a healthy & inclusive culture
Design, scope, develop, execute on cross-functional projects and initiatives involving backend services and integrations
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team's engineers, including helping them to learn new technologies and solve complex problems.
Drive development speed and team agility in a sustainable manner.
Work with the team to identify and resolve technical issues, includes troubleshooting problems, debugging code, and performing code reviews
At a minimum we’d like you to have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in software development using Java / Kotlin.
8 years of experience launching & developing software products, and 5 years of experience with software design and architecture.
5 years of leadership and people management experience
5 years of experience with backend services / integration and system integration
It’s preferred if you have:
3 years of experience in designing and supporting Kotlin based applications
3 years of experience applications built/deployed in GCP cloud infrastructure
Telecom industry experience
Experience working with Unix & Cloud.
A portfolio of full-stack project experience, including understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing.
Experience working with Salesforce.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $185,000 - $271,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
