Description
The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects, meeting customer demands, achieving overall project timing, and meeting financial targets. This includes coordinating internal and external manufacturing and act as the primary point of communication between the Program Manager and the manufacturing team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
Work together with internal management teams and customer management teams to plan, develop, control and direct the projects.
Act as the manufacturing point of contact to the customer on projects.
Develop and maintain the manufacturing portion of the project planning and execution artifacts (cost tracking, project schedule, risk and opportunities).
Coordinate with resource managers to ensure appropriate resources are allocated in support of the projects.
Work across functions to meet key delivery dates, ensuring the highest quality product, effectively manufactured with minimal waste in material and space.
Develop, maintain, and present metrics that communicate the health of the projects.
Coordinate ongoing analyses of projects and development activities to identify cost saving opportunities, quality improvements, and process improvements.
Support company teams in pursuing new technologies and products.
Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
BS or BA in Finance, Business or Engineering and 2 years of relevant project management experience, or 6 years of experience in manufacturing, with 2 years in a project management role
Experience with project management through the entire lifecycle; ability to handle multiple projects/programs simultaneously within stringent time constraints.
Must demonstrate commitment, vision and a tenacity to drive assignments to completion.
Strong customer relations & interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in order to effectively present ideas, concepts and proposals to all levels of the organization.
Ability to review and update company policies and procedures.
Ability to coach and develop technical professionals of all experience levels.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
Experience with FAA certification programs, with a preference for 14 CFR Part 29 experience.
Experience with 14 CFR Part 21 Manufacturing.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Lean Six Sigma certification.
