Job Description Summary
We are eager to hire our next Electrical Engineer at our MR Design Center based out of Cleveland/Aurora, OH (we offer a competitive relocation package).
This role is part of GE Healthcare's Imaging MR modality. This site designs and manufactures RF coils used in MRI systems.
You will be joining a strong team of other Electrical Engineers who are all focused on improving patients outcomes. We offer an excellent training and on boarding experience. GE is the leader in MRI technology. We are focused on designing and bringing to market the latest and best MR technology.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Designing new products and/or supporting Installed Base of Analog, RF, and/or Digital electrical circuit boards, components and interconnects
Working with patient/customers and/or technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives
Leading design efforts with Electrical CAD and Simulation tools (Cadence, ADS, etc.)
Executing design to engineering standards
Working within a team to deliver technical solutions
Defining and executing component design verification
Seeking mentoring to learn and solve problems
Engaging in all phases of product development and support, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
Developing and maintaining product quality and engineering project funnel
Conducting analysis of installed base and new product reliability
Team-oriented collaborator with solid communication skills
Required Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Masters Degree with 3+ years of experience
Knowledge of standard drafting practices, product structuring, electronics modeling and drawing practices, and engineering analysis techniques.
Knowledge of Analog and RF circuit design
Understanding of engineering product development processes
Desired Characteristics
Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering
Medical device experience
Demonstrated experience in the following: Electromagnetics, Transmission Line design, Antenna Theory & Design, Mixers, Oscillators, Amplifiers, Analog Design, RF Printed Circuit Board Layout experience
Experience with Lean methodologies, 5S, Kaizen etc.
Experience with Medical device standards like IEC60601-1
Experience with Weibull Analysis and DFR (Design for Reliability) tools
Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi projects
