Inventory Associate

Pay rate: $18-20 HR

8am-4:30pm

Typical Day:

• Maneuver around the warehouse to pull components at a set number

• Receive a pick sheet daily via email

• Spend most of the day picking kits

• Look for parts by description that is written and color-coded

• Manually move items in the warehouse

• Perform physical tasks, including lifting 25-50 lbs

• Perform inventory and cycle counting

• Submit counts to the manager at the end of the shift

• Some pick kits will take a long time, some will take a short amount of time

• Task-based job

• Occasionally work with drivers to receive parts

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to document picked items and track inventory and cycle counts

• Kits can vary from 2 to 50 parts

• On Thursdays, pick up unnecessary items from assembly and put away parts

• Work in a warehouse with over 5,000 parts in electronic manufacturing

• Hope is to become the sole person picking items in a caged warehouse to control inventory

This position is at their main plant on Aurora Road. The work environment is very laid back and clean. The shipping department has 4 employees.
