We currently operate in-office Monday-Thursday, with an optional remote day on Friday.

The Role

As the Transportation Coordinator, you will manage daily orders for all outbound orders to ensure they are accurately allocated and processed. Outbound shipments must be managed to ensure on time pickup, on time delivery and minimal exposure to customer fines. You will also work with our Traffic Lead to develop and maintain best practices to manage major customer accounts to ensure freight expense is minimized and customer service levels optimized. The position requires full knowledge of each designated customer account.

In This Role, You will

  • Fulfill customer orders using Oracle WMS
  • Work with the team lead to identify and implement operational improvements to reduce freight and to improve processes
  • Orders with Collect Freight Terms to be reviewed, routed on customer web application (if applicable), accurately processed for shipment
  • Coordinates prepaid freight with our freight providers to ensure on time pickup and delivery
  • Review daily reports as needed to ensure LOTC/LOT meets expectations
  • Check status of inventory and request inventory moves as needed to fulfill customer orders
  • Receive annual cross training
  • Review and understand customer routing guides to meet customer expectations

What You Bring to the Team

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the logistics industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing a computerized WMS (Oracle a plus)
  • The ability to effectively work independently and cross-functionally
  • Teamwork mindset a must
  • A Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Ability to type 40+ words per minute
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Adept knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Adept knowledge of WMS functionality, namely Oracle
