Job Summary

The Manager, Infrastructure will ensure the streamlined operation of the IT department and alignment within the business objectives of the organization. The selected candidate will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the Operation System and Virtualization Services department. The candidate will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This position will also define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership: identify and develop talent within the team, provide opportunities for learning and growth as well as communicating job expectations, coaching, counseling, performance appraisals, and enforcing policies and procedures

  • Technical escalations: real-time prioritization and direction for the team, hands-on technical assistance, and scheduling /resource management to ensure business needs are met efficiently.

  • Customer service: ensure happy, helpful and friendly service is delivered at all times

  • Prioritization and team scheduling: continually monitor the team work load and business needs; proactively identify potential problems, set daily/weekly schedules, timelines and service accordingly

  • Review performance metrics, time sheets and ticket health of team members

  • Assist with budgeting for the department and project for the company.
