Job Overview

Is responsible for cleaning, sterilization, and processing of respiratory care equipment. Compiling and charting accurate records of equipment, oxygen, and supplies. Daily rounds to track patients receiving oxygen therapy, check availability of therapy gases, ensure adequate equipment is available for the therapist, and ensure safe function of flowmeters.

Qualifications

EDUCATION - High school diploma or GED EXPERIENCE - Six months of experience CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR This position may require a BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Cleans and sterilize all respiratory care equipment Communications Maintain appropriate inventories of respiratory care supplies Maintain patients, department and billing records in accordance with CHCO and departmental policies and procedures Performs appropriate equipment maintenance and checkouts
