Manager, Community Benefit Regulatory Operations and Strategy

Location: Aurora, CO

The opportunity

The Manager of Community Benefit Regulatory Operations leads and coordinates system-wide community benefit regulatory operations in compliance with federal and state requirements. The position also supports statewide legislative and advocacy efforts, as well as key external activities and engagements.

This role is a member of the UCHealth Strategy and Planning team and collaborates with other system and regional leaders in community benefit operations, government relations and finance. The position is based in Aurora, Colorado on the Anschutz Medical Campus with the option to work in a remote setting one day per week.

Reporting relationship

Reports to: Vice President, Strategy and Planning, UCHealth

Essential job duties

  • Collaborates with regional community benefit operations to ensure compliance with federal and state community benefit regulations, including community health needs assessments, implementation plans and annual public meetings.

  • Provides leadership and support to team members across UCHealth responsible for community benefit reporting. Serves as internal expert on community benefit reporting methodologies and analysis of system performance.

  • Serves as point person for developing presentations for external audiences to support legislative and advocacy efforts.

  • Supports the continued development of the community partner inventory and digital media to illustrate UCHealth's reach and impact across the state.

  • Stays apprised of national trends in community benefit regulation, as well as best practices for adhering to community benefit requirements.

  • Leads and provides support for special projects related to community benefit.

Education and experience

  • Minimum required education: Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum experience: Five years of relevant experience in hospital community benefit, health care project management or leadership within a large non-profit organization

  • Ability to work in ambiguity and appropriately manage confidential matters
