Job Overview

The Clinical Manager is responsible for directing and managing the daily operations of a direct patient care department to ensure policies, procedures, and guidelines are being followed; providing clinical expertise, leading department team members in providing developmentally appropriate care and evaluating outcomes; and ensuring compliance with quality and safety initiatives and practices. The Clinical Manager ensures the accomplishment of organizational goals and objectives to improve healthcare performance and patient experience of care in a cost-effective manner. The Clinical Manager is a partner with others in the healthcare leadership team to enhance clinical practice by coaching for performance and promotion of professional growth. Finally, the Clinical Manager provides leadership in managing department team members and patient/family experiences.

Additional Information

Department Name: Level 10 East Inpatient Rehabilitation Job Status: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day Shift: Dayshift but with regular nightshift presence to support the nightshift team. May require occasional weekend or holiday presence as the team needs warrant. This position supports a unit the operates all hours and each day of year. Unit Description: The Level 10 East Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is a brand new, 19-bed acute care unit specifically designed to provide exceptional rehabilitation care to pediatric patients. The unit plans to open in the winter of 2024-2025. In addition to providing inpatient rehabilitation services, 10 East will also serve pediatric patients who are technology dependent, such as those with a tracheostomy and/or ventilator. The unit includes multiple gyms, therapy spaces, a classroom, an activity room, and other areas to facilitate patient rehabilitation and development. The large multidisciplinary care team will consist of nurses, clinical assistants, inpatient service specialists, providers, therapists, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, child li e specialists, case managers, and more. Qualifications

EDUCATION - Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's in health related field required. EXPERIENCE - Three years of clinical experience and two years of nursing leadership experience in supervision, leading clinical practice projects, serving as a charge nurse or house supervisor, and/or precepting. EQUIVALENCY - N/A LICENCURES/CERTIFICATION(S) - Registered Nurse (RN) License. BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
