The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN or other licensed medical professional. The CNA/NA performs a variety of individualized patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients.

Available shifts:

(5 CNAs Available) 2nd shift: 3pm-1130pm Mon- Fri + every other weekend

(7 CNAs Available) 3rd shift: 11pm-7:30am Mon- Fri + every other weekend

12s/ 16s are not available, special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated with this client

Special scheduling requests will not be accommodated- 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday + every other weekend (this will include some holidays)

Holiday RTO will NOT be considered at this time-- it's expected that each candidate work 2 major and 2 minor holidays. They will only review RTO included in submission; they will not be able to add RTO at a later date.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains patient confidentiality of all clients

• Performs duties within scope of practice, as assigned, in an accurate and timely manner

• Adheres to facility/client policy, procedures and protocols at all times

• Assists doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers with treatments, procedures, and tests being performed in a variety of patient care settings

• Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions

• Notifies the supervising nurse of any abnormal findings or conditions

• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of all facilities

• Other duties as assigned

  Minimum Requirements:

• Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years

• Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and in good-standing

• Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

• Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required

• Computer proficiency required

• Must be at least 18 years of age
