Seattle Safety LLC Mechanical Project Engineer in Auburn, Washington

Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Develop new or improved designs for automobile crash safety testing vehicle systems, using computer-assisted design technology. Direct building, modification, and testing of vehicle and components. Work with Service Technicians to understand system problems and capture relevant engineering information. Deliver information and work with Design Engineers to develop solutions, change drawings, and roll out new improvements. Troubleshoot, analyze, and report on system issues, interact with existing customers, and provide detailed reports to both external and internal recipients. Refine and document how existing products are designed, manufactured, installed, and serviced. Develop improvements using the company's Engineering Change process. Ensure installation and service processes and methods meet engineering standards and requirements. Develop project plans for new products and internal development projects. Participate in the design process, understands performance requirements, design approach and intent, and perform analysis using CAD and analysis software. Work with production and engineering teams to develop coherent design and manufacturing of new products or prototypes. Plan engineering, purchasing, testing, and production sequences and coordinate project schedules between departments for assigned R&D projects. Monitor assigned project progress through each phase and flexibly adapt to delays or problems. SKILLS:

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or the equivalent. At least one year of experience or equivalent coursework in AutoCAD, Solid Works, and ANSYS. At least one year of experience in material selection, thermodynamic analysis, and manufacturing methods. One year of experience working with customers for a technical, manufactured, or engineering product.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent. At least three years of experience in AutoCAD, Solid Works, and ANSYS. At least three years of experience in material selection, thermodynamic analysis, and manufacturing methods. Three years of experience working with customers for a technical, manufactured, or engineering product.
