Robert Half Accounting Manager in Auburn, Washington

Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Manager to join our team in Auburn, Washington. This role offers a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity where you will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks, including but not limited to financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reports

• Prepare financial statements in line with regulatory standards and company policies

• Carry out financial reporting tasks, ensuring all reports are accurate and delivered within set deadlines

• Handle the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Process and record a variety of financial transactions, including journal entries

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

• Lead the development and implementation of effective accounting processes and policies

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the accounting department

• Utilize accounting software to optimize processes and improve efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role within a finance department

• Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and financial analysis tools

• Comprehensive understanding of the General Ledger and its functions

• Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements

• Experience with Month End Close procedures and Journal Entries

• Skills in Monthly Bank Reconciliation and Financial Reporting

• Strong ethical standards, demonstrating a commitment to company values and principles

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Possess strong organizational and leadership skills

• Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used

• Broad understanding and ability to adhere to financial laws and guidelines

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. Advanced degree or detail oriented certification (such as CPA) would be advantageous.
