US Farathane Trainer in Auburn Hills, Michigan

US Farathane* *has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE's and TPO's as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies. 

We are currently seeking hiring a motivated Trainer.  The successful candidate help effectively train personnel to achieve customer satisfaction; follow procedures and work instructions; achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety; and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

AVAILABLE SHIFT TIMES:

  • 6:30 AM -- 2:30 PM
  • 2:30 PM -- 10:30 PM / .75 Shift Premium
  • 10:30 PM -- 6:30 AM / 1.50 Shift Premium

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides training to a diverse work group that is customized to USF's policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Conduct audits to ensure that the correct processes are being followed at each press
  • Follows up with employees after training to ensure they are meeting standards.
  • Test trainee to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
  • Complete all training forms, reports, and training books
  • Ability work with all levels of employees including team leads, supervisors, and management.
  • Maintain the integrity of content being delivered.
  • Successfully complete USF "Train the Trainer" program
  • Ensure a safe work environment
  • Effectively communicate operator requirements to new personnel
  • Complete training sheet upon successful completion of training by new personnel.
  • Update training matrix and identify training need.
  • Certify operator trainings.
  • Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates and supervision.
  • Participate in team problem solving activities (ie, 8D's, communication meetings, etc.).
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ie, Quality Manual, Associate Handbook, etc.).
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Excellent communicator and listening skills
  • Good reading and writing skills.
  • Highly motivated and success driven.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Ability to handle fast paced environment
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees and various diverse groups
  • Trainer and automotive experience preferred
