We are Responsive We have Integrity We are Dynamic We exhibit Excellence PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees the sourcing, delivery, and quality of material spend, in support of pre-production builds and low volume production builds at TEC location Program Manages and leads day-to-day activities for the Business Unit groups while acting as the interface between the SCM team and senior management Performs and documents complex cost and price analyses to ensure fair and reasonable price determination utilizing robust purchasing process Works with team members to ensure contract files are complete and satisfy Government/Customer requirements to maintain SCM's approved Cost Estimating and Purchasing Systems Understands, analyzes, and communicates cost and supplier data in a Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Government environment Navigate team, work effectively in, and occasionally lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) matrix organization Leads SCM system integration efforts as point of contact for the organization and drives continuous improvement/efficiency of system usage to ensure compliance with AM General's approved purchasing system Motivate and coach the team by communicating goals, objectives, and KPIs from the AM General strategic annual plan so that each team member is an active participant in the success of AM General Drives achievement of deliverables through execution of a team-oriented approach, targeting effective resource management and leveraging team member strengths and weaknesses to achieve optimal team performance Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member the expectations Ability to understand and always ensure full compliance with applicable Company policy and guidelines Focuses on BoM cost reductions and strategic suppliers strategies - including partnerships, teaming, development agreements Works with buyers and quality department to manage strategic supplier approval list, supplier performance, and ensure on time deliveries for build teams Tracking / championing Design-to-Cost, Design-for-Manuf, Make/Buy, initiatives and associated results Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices for products, processes, and supply chain strategies Closely collaborates with production supply chain on sourcing and strategy KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent required (with CPSM/CPM, and/or MBA preferred) 5 years of professional military purchasing, quality, and program management experience/automotive new-product development through full-rate production 1-3 years supervisor experience in employee development, Commodity Management experience and manufacturing / development operations experience SAP experience preferred. Demonstrated performance in working with and leading cross functional teams Demonstrated performance in system integration and software implementation Development, management and tracking of suppliers, including small businesses Professional Certification (CPSM and/or CPSD) by the Institute of Supply Management is preferred Excellent interpersonal and communications (written and oral) skills and the ability to lead groups Analytical thinking, negotiating, and problem-solving skills required Strong skills required in c
