The Phillip Charles Group Electrical Mechanical Technician in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Our client, a leading software and systems integration organization specializing in the design and production of simulation and training systems for the US Armed Forces is seeking an Electrical - Mechanical Technician for their growing organization.  The Electrical - Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the development and production phases of programs including both engineering and hands-on production tasks.

 

The hourly pay rate for this position is between $20.00 - $30.00. The work schedule is Monday -- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional overtime as needed.

 

This is a temporary to hire position.

 

Electrical - Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:

  • Assembling electrical equipment
  • Read and Interpret work instructions, diagrams and schematics
  • Inspect wiring installations, assemblies and circuits
  • Assemble electronic systems, components, subassemblies and casings
  • Assemble cables
  • Soldering of electronic circuit boards
  • Assemble enclosures and mounts for conduction-cooled electronics and displays
  • Pack goods for shipment and tag components
  • Perform manual assembly of small devices
  • Test finished products to ensure conformance to specifications

Electrical - Mechanical Technician Requirements:

  • Minimum of HSD/GED, Associates degree preferred
  • Must have hard soled work boots
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel is desired

     

Electrical - Mechanical Technician Skills:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Possess solid written and verbal communication skills.
