Job Purpose:

This person will primarily be responsible for partnering with Corporate Human Resources team to complete key tasks in recruitment, learning & development, talent process, data management, vendor management, internal communication, engagement and other HR areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement and enablement efforts in Corporate functions globally through employee and manager education sessions, monthly manager meetings, listening sessions, etc.

  • Act as Talent, Culture, HRIS Corporate contact point as well as Corporate Learning & Development Coordinator (i.e. manage annual nominations for enterprise development programs, monitor status of mandatory training, provide admin support for Spark Learning, and provide other learning support as needed)

  • Act as HRIS Collaborator by driving better understanding on how to leverage Workday, managing data, preparing reports & dashboards, supporting, auditing the submission of requests to HR Link/ServiceNow/Payroll, including processes such as transfers, promotions, compensations changes, terminations, new hires, one-time payments, education assistance processing, etc.

  • Provide recommendations and drive process improvements on Workday Data Quality

  • Lead general internal communications efforts within Corporate (Org Announcements, Be Heard Survey, etc.)

  • Coordinate the onboarding of new employees (full time, interns, contractuals) including background check and drug screen initiation, send welcome emails, assign seating, etc.

  • Coordinate with Auburn Hills HR Operations Team on local employee engagement activities, employee processes (new hire, transfer, exits) and ensure alignment with WHQ HR Partners

  • Assist with vendor management activities such as processing invoices, billing, etc.

  • Provide administrative support to global mobility activities including travel & employment verification letters, communicate with employees regarding visa status, complete immigration employer questionnaires, complete cost estimates, reporting, etc.

  • Support the HR Manager to resolve employees’ complaints and grievance, including case investigations.

  • Other duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

  • 2 plus years of related experience fast paced diversified manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)

  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration

  • With basic knowledge of US & Michigan federal, state, and local employment laws and regulation

  • With strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Inclined to leverage various technology, platforms, systems (i.e. Workday, Qualtrics, SharePoint, Canva, etc)

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when managing sensitive employee information

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands

  • Able to build strong relationships and establish strong interpersonal connections at all levels of the organization
