Job Title: CNC Machinist/Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in programming on a laptop and at the machine, setting up CNC mills and lathes, and running 50-80 part batches for internal components to our lift assist systems.

Responsibilities

  • Program CNC mills and lathes using Solidworks and Camlink (Mazak conversational programming).

  • Set up CNC mills and lathes, including Haas 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.

  • Run batches of 50-80 parts for internal components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints.

  • Perform machine set up and changeovers, including building fixtures as needed.

  • Work with materials such as aluminum bar stock, aluminum castings, mild steels, and various plastics.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in programming CNC mills and lathes.

  • Experience with Solidworks and Camlink.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Strong machine set up and changeover skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Interest in 3D printing (3 printers available in the shop).

  • Honing experience (1 machine in the shop for ID finishing).

Work Environment

This position is based in a machine shop, so candidates must be comfortable working in a louder environment and not afraid to get dirty. We offer flexible start times at 6am or 8am, with a 40-45 hour work week from Monday to Friday. As a family company, we emphasize teamwork and effective communication.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00
