Description

This is a part time position requiring up to 26 hours per week.

Examples of Duties

• Inspects, repairs and performs maintenance on college fixed-wing aircraft.

• Perform related duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications

• Must have A&P license

• IA preferred

• High School Diploma / GED

• 3 years experience as a mechanic, preferably in an aircraft Maintenance shop

• Experience with Cessna 172 preferred

• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and components

• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently

• Must have own tools

Competences and Skills:

• Ability to read and understand written job orders

• Physical capability to climb ladders and lift heavy objects of about 50 pounds

• Must have a telephone and access to reliable transportation

Terms of Employment:

• This position is primarily located at the Atlantic City Airport and may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends.

Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension (https://www.nj.gov/treasury/pensions/pension-active-dcrp.shtml) . Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
