Job Title: Warehouse Handler

Job Description

Efficiently unload and load packages from freight trucks to cargo containers. Assembling the packages inside of the cargo container to maximize space and fit maximum packages.

Responsibilities

  • Unload and load packages onto cargo containers from trucks. Trucks will come in and packages will already be loaded on carts.

  • Break down and remove packages from the carts and load them into cargo containers.

  • Assemble items 'Tetris style' to maximize package occupancy in cargo containers.

  • Place small boxes and mail into larger bags before putting them on the cargo container.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning and tracking systems.

  • Follow safety protocols and conduct quality control checks.

  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in picking, scanning, and inventory control.

  • Experience with RF scanners.

  • Ability to stack and pack efficiently.

  • Experience in shipping and receiving.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

  • Good physical condition to stand and sort boxes for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse.

  • Must be comfortable with being escorted in the facility.

Shift

Shift is from 11 AM - 7:30 PM, with a schedule of working five days on and two days off, including some overtime. Employees must be open to working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Type & Location

This is a 3 month contract position.
