Position Overview:

This position provides the supervision, direction, guidance, and support to a team of Loan Servicing professionals in the administration of a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate ("CRE") loan and debt financings including construction/renovation loans, syndications, CMBS, secured and unsecured debt transactions, multi-currency, and project financings. This role directly manages borrower billing activities, ARM/Receivable maintenance processes and Modifications. The primary focus for the role is to optimize efficiency and quality to increase overall productivity. This role requires significance experience successfully managing multiple loan administration functions, redesigning processes, and optimizing workflow using process improvement methodologies consistent with generally accepted loan servicing practices.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Determine best practices for areas/processes that impact accuracy and timeliness of billing.

  • Coordinate with various departments for a wing-to-wing approach from setup and throughout life cycle of a loan ensuring billing reflects accurate information.

  • Perform root cause analysis on exceptions that cause the need for re-billing.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure lender, borrower and company requirements are being met gaining insight into their workflows, requirements, and pain points.

  • Use tools (i.e. skills assessments, audits, productivity reports) to measure technical skills and performance within your team where applicable.

  • Process engineering and improvement of all areas related to Borrower billing, ARM/Receivable maintenance, modification and extension processing and Quality Control.

  • Gather and analyze data related to process performance, using tools such as process maps, flowcharts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Ensure process documentation is comprehensive including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job aids.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for loan document interpretation and validation of loan terms input into the servicing system by the Loan Onboarding team.

  • Support activities related to internal audit and testing. Responsibilities include the monitoring and clearance of identified exceptions.

  • Other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree; Preferred field of study in Real Estate, Finance/Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent.

  • Minimum 8+ years of management experience in Commercial Real Estate, Loan Servicing/Administration field strongly preferred

  • Proven record of success with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)

  • Strong analytical skills. The ability to create and monitor KPIs

  • High comfort level with use of various industry related software systems

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)

  • Strong analytical abilities, good judgment, strategic and process thinking

  • Detail oriented

  • High degree of professionalism

  • Ability to work as a team player

  • Pro-active approach to problem recognition and resolution

Special Requirements:

  • The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment

The annual full time base salary range for this role is ($90,000 - $150,000). Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
